Getting started

Do I need to install anything?
No. Typewriter runs entirely in the browser — on desktops, laptops and tablets. Any current version of Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari is enough.

Does it work on tablets?
Yes, on tablets with an external keyboard. An on-screen keyboard can be used as a supplement but isn’t enough for the ten-finger system.

What does Plus cost for my class?
Plus starts at €78 per year for up to 30 students. The licences page has the full price table.

How do I pay?
By bank transfer against an annual invoice.
Privacy & security

Where is data hosted?
In EU/EEA data centres in Germany. GDPR-compliant data-processing agreements (Art. 28) are in place.

What happens to data of students who leave the school?
Data is anonymised or deleted after the statutory retention period. In the Plus version the licence seat is freed immediately.
