Why Typewriter
More time for teaching, less for marking.
Typewriter was built together with teachers. It takes the marking off the teacher’s desk, gives learners and teachers immediate feedback, and delivers the data needed to intervene where it helps most.

Research
Evolved since 2002 — driven by data.
What works in keyboarding instruction — and what doesn’t? That question sits at the heart of an ongoing research project at the University of Teacher Education Vorarlberg. The answers go straight back into the software.

Voices from research & practice
The people behind Typewriter.
In 2015 we introduced touch typing in primary school. Today we know we backed the right horse with Typewriter. A three-year evaluation showed that the program is well received by teachers and pupils alike — and that the learning goals are met.
Iwan Schrackmann
ICT advisor · Department for Compulsory Education and Sport, Canton of Schwyz
I have been researching media-supported learning for over 20 years. My aim is not just to write up findings but to put them into practice. That works with Typewriter because the research method is part of the program itself.
