Typewriter lets you choose between different systems with numeric grades or traffic-light scales.
Setting the criteria for performance assessment is the teacher’s decision, of course. Still, we recommend not changing the preset criteria for beginners drastically in the settings. Otherwise the learning process can be undermined by too many errors or expectations of too much speed.
The preset for minimum keystrokes in 10 minutes is usually exceeded by most learners by a factor of two. When using the program in special education, adjusting it downward can be helpful.
